Nic grew up in Grand Junction, CO where he graduated from Palisade High School with the International Baccalaureate Program diploma and then from Colorado Mesa University on a full merit scholarship with a Bachelor’s in Finance.

Since then, he has planted roots outside of Houston, TX with his wife McKayla, their son Kilian and their two miniature wiener dogs, Leo & Coco.

Nic started in the wealth management industry over 7 years ago as a humble intern while finishing up his college degree & getting his Series 65 advisor license. More recently, Nic was a valued member of the investment team at WealthSource Partners, where he was the Senior Trader in charge of executing billions of dollars of trades across thousands of client accounts.

What does Balance mean to me? “Even though I’m the investment guy, to me, Balance means a lot more than a 60/40 portfolio. Balance means there is time for everything: God, family & friends, business & physical health. Balance is the sweet spot where each of them are able to thrive, because of the existence of the others.”

When Nic isn’t chasing his toddler around, you can find him at the gym, enjoying a beer, or covered in sawdust from one of his many carpentry projects. Nic also loves to serve his community, where he is often helping folks in need with those handyman skills.

Both as Chief Investment Officer and as an advisor, Nic strives to ensure that each client’s unique set of values & preferences lead the way into whichever investment strategy is the best fit for them and their situation. He says “It is as much as art as it is science when it comes marrying a client’s worldviews with investment strategies. It’s not just about getting them point A to point B, but doing it in a way where the experience is truly enjoyable, understandable, and in alignment with their values.”
