BOB GAVLAK
CFP®
Family Man, Partner
What does Balance mean to me? “Balance means being able to care for my clients, family, and self in a way that allows each to thrive, without sacrificing the attention each deserves.”
Some of Bob’s favorite (and least favorite) things:
- Favorite food: Donuts
- Least favorite food: Olives
- Favorite drink: A nice IPA or fresh cup of coffee
- Favorite sports team: Cleveland Browns
- Least favorite sport: Basketball
Bob strives to be more than just an advisor — and is grateful for his role as a trusted ally who can be leaned on at any time. Bob and his wife Heather have 3 kids (Grace, Mitch, and Andy) plus two dogs (Poppy & Pete) and live in Delaware, OH.
When he’s not spending time with the fam, you’ll find Bob coaching wrestling at the local middle school (as a former collegiate wrestler at Case Western, he loves passing along the sport to the next generation), enjoying a beer, or getting in some time in the gym.
Bob has over 16 years of experience in the industry, starting out as a young admin and working his way up to starting his own practice. As a CFP® professional, Bob has a fiduciary responsibility to his clients – which is a fancy way of saying that his default is to care for his clients the way he would for his own family.
As the founder Balance Wealth and a Partner of Balance Wealth, Bob wants to live that vision on a daily basis. Balancing the required detail and care that financial planning needs with the real human lives we all lead in an effort to create a place that does the work well, but does it with meaning.
