What does Balance mean to me? “Balance Wealth means people put their head on the pillow at night knowing they are doing the right thing for their family with their finances. ”
Some of Shaun’s favorite (and least favorite) things:
- Favorite food: Steak
- Least favorite food: Olives
- Favorite drink: Coffee and Red Wine
- Favorite sport: Football
- Least favorite sport: Basketball
Shaun fell in love with financial planning when he was a student at the United States Air Force Academy. His professor told him that anyone can be wealthy if they, “max out their Roth IRA starting when they are young”. His professor explained, “here’s the math”. Shaun learned that day anyone can become financially secure if they make the right decisions. His father was a police officer, and he never knew that anyone could be financially secure until that day in class. His goal from that day forward was to educate and help as many people as possible have financial peace of mind.
When Shaun is not educating and helping people achieve financial freedom, he enjoys watching his kids play sports, golfing, flying, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He lives by the motto, “surround yourself with good people, and your life will be great.” Shaun has served in the U.S. Air Force for 18 years flying C-17s in missions around the globe enabling the bravest men and women to protect the free markets and our way of life.
Shaun has over 13 years of experience as a wealth advisor. He worked at a large investment firm before starting his own practice. He made the leap after he learned some of the hidden fees, incentives, and expenses passed off to clients at large firms. He wanted to serve people with integrity and felt the best way was to start his own business. He is a CFP® professional that partners with families as a true fiduciary.
Shaun lives in Westerville, Ohio with his high school sweetheart and wife of 17-years (Lauren) and their 3 kids (Claire, McKenna, and Ryan). Fun Fact: Shaun was a 4-year starting quarterback at Air Force. He is infamously known to be the only quarterback at Air Force to never beat Navy; however, he did beat Notre Dame in South Bend which fulfilled a childhood dream of playing in Notre Dame Stadium.
